Progressive supranuclear palsy is a neurodegenerative disease that presents with primarily vertical gaze dysfunction accompanied by extrapyramidal symptoms and cognitive dysfunction. The disease usually develops after the fourth decade of life, and the diagnosis is purely clinical.
