Answer 4
- Karyotype.
This patients presentation suggests a diagnosis of Klinefelters syndrome, which is most commonly associated with a 47,XXY karyotype. The most common manifestations of Klinefelters syndrome are infertility and small testes, affecting nearly 100% of patients. Testicular ultrasound is useful in the evaluation of testicular tumors, while serum ß-hCG is a tumor marker for testicular cancers. Serum prolactin levels would be helpful in the presentation of a pituitary tumor.
